Garden of Táozi

My first game project was on “Garden of Táozi”, an isometric puzzle game inspired by the myth of Sun Wukong, released on steam in 2024. It started out as an assigned group project and grew into something much bigger after the required assignment time ended. I worked on the game until its full release, during which we presented at PAX East from 2022-2025. I contributed to the game as the lead writer, the designer of level 4 which you can see in the gif attached, and an artist behind the scroll-like user interface.

Street Rider

The year after Táozi began development, I joined with another group of students to begin working on “Street Rider”. Street Rider is a love letter to racing games that came from the fifth generation of consoles, boasting a CRTV filter and retro mechanics. Street Rider was presented at PAX East in 2024 and was later posted to itch. During development of the game, I worked on the environment art, as well as the car and biker animations.
